TheDahliaLab was born out of scattered notes, forgotten crosses, waterstained papers, sunbleached plant tags and tuber bins that felt like mystery boxes.

I'm Susanne Hernes, a neuroscientist, Ph.D, and garden lover who got overwhelmed by my own growing log. I needed a system that could bring clarity to my own collection, structure to my seed tracking and insight into my decisions. So I built it.

What started as a personal solution has grown into a collaborative platform for dahlia enthusiasts worldwide. We're building a quiet revolution in dahlia growing: one that is powered by growers, grounded in data, and designed for peace of mind.
